Trip - CFF - FINNISH WINTER ACTIVITIES, Departure Date - Sunday 17th January 2010

If anyone is going on the Finnish Winter Activities in January, it would be really good to hear from you. Plus if you've been on one of these trips before any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

Hope to hear from you soon

Hello.  I'm doing Finnish -

Hello.  I'm doing Finnish Winter Activities the same week as you.  I've never done anything like it before so it's going to be a completely new experience for me.

Hi there, good to meet you -

Hi there, good to meet you both. I'm going too. Sorry I can't offer any advice as i've never done a winter activity holiday either. All i know is it will be cold and should be good fun.

Not long now. Chrstmas and -

Not long now. Chrstmas and New Year and then holidays. Yippee! We've got snow where I live so it's looking quite festive. All i need to do now is find some dogs to pull my sledge and i can get some practice in before we go. ;-)

How's the snow with you all? -

Hi I am joining you on the finland trip in January. We certainly have plenty of snow in Cumbria to practice with at the moment!

It would be good to know where you are traveling from and if any of you staying over the night before we fly or are you travlling straight to the airport.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.... see you soon.

Janet

I'm flying down from glasgow -

I'm flying down from glasgow the Night before. I'm guessing you are doing the same?

Finnish Winter Activities -

I have been on this trip a couple of years ago - it was our first winter activity holiday and it was a great experience.  Be prepared for the cold (we had icicles on our eyelashes) and if you are lucky you will get to see the Northern Lights.  The day with the huskies was memorable as some of them had had pups, which we were able to hold.  Snowmobiling and snowshoeing as well as cross country skiing were all firsts for us.  We got the bug and the next year we did the Sweden Wilderness trip - even better!

Hi all

I have just been in contact with Exodus over my insurance to find the Flights have changed from the Charter flight @ 6:00 to:

I hope that fits in with all your travel plans!

Better start packing the thermals!!

Janet

My plane lands at 1030. So I could try to find you (and anyone else that wants to meet) pre boarding in departures.

Finnish Wilderness Week?? -

Hi all,  is this the same trip as the Finnish Wilderness Trip, departing on 17th January??

winter activities -

No, the wilderness week is a different trip. I've not seen anyone posting for it though!

No worries, there are 11 -
No worries, there are 11 booked onto my trip, and had a look at your trip and it seems pretty similar the the Finish wilderness week. Should be a great week for both trips

Hello Gayle and everyone -

Hello Gayle and everyone else.  I'd like to meet up in departures if possible.

Nicola

Meeting at departures -

Not very good with Heathrow. If anyone has an idea of where to meet let me know.

Gayle.

Meet Up in Heathrow -

Greetings folks....only 2 sleeps to go!

A meet-up in Heathrow sounds a good plan.  I have it on good authority that the departure lounge in terminal 3 has a "Bagel Street" cafe after security.  Meet up there?  I'll be there from about 11.30ish assuming the flight on the way down is on time.

Craig

Meeting up in darpartures -

Hi Craig

I'll look out for the Bagel Street cafe.  Now, we've just got to make sure we can all recognise each other.  I'll be the one wearing a white ski jacket with fur round the hood and jeans.

Nicola

Meeting up in darpartures -

All going to plan i should be there too (but possibly later depending of connecting flights) I'll look out for Nicolas jacket but i'll be wearing my black down jacket and brown snow boots.

Finnish Winter Activities -

Hi all

It's good to see everyone getting to know each other online. I'll be joining you all in Finland next week. I'm in charge of the Product team at Exodus, but know very little about our Winter trips or Scandinavia so it will all me new to me too!

I'll be wearing a black fleece and carrying a red rucksac - and will try and head to the Bagel St cafe for 11:30 as well.

See you all tomorrow.

Jim

Finnish Winter Activities -

Hi All

Good to hear other travellers wanting to meet up before hand.

I'll try to also meet you all at the Bagel Cafe for 11:30.

You'll recognise me easily, I'm a chinese person, wearing either a black puffa jacket or red/grey jacket.

Will
