A fascinating journey through India's tropical south

South India is a region of great charm, offering varied delights to the traveller, including beautiful cities, colonial hill stations, colourful temples, a relaxed lifestyle, attractive scenery and some of the best food in India.
The major cities of the south were once princely capitals of the Maharajas, and their magnificent remains of powerful Hindu Kingdoms contrast dramatically with the cool, mist-shrouded hill stations of the British Raj.
The natural scenery is also immensely rewarding: in the west, forest-clad hills slope down through to a shoreline of shady lagoons, wooded islands and ancient spice ports.
In the east, granite hills break up fertile plains and the coast has some of the world's longest beaches.
What makes this trip responsible?
We provide refresher training with a focus on Responsible Tourism, so our local leaders can educate our clients locally on helping to preserve the way of life in their area. Many local restaurants and shops are also used to purchase items throughout this trip which benefits the local community. Since 2005, we have also been supporting our tiger project in Bandhavgarh National Park.
