“Everyone got the opportunity to get to know each other, and wherever we camped there were no other groups. We felt immersed in genuine, wild Africa, with the views and sounds that go with it. We stayed on a sandy island in the middle of the river and camped on the riverbank next to the trees, where you could sit and watch animals emerge. There were spectacular African sunsets, followed by fantastic starry skies with a soundtrack of animal noises. It was our most memorable holiday ever.”

Where adventure begins

We’ve been exploring countries, cultures, environments, cities, mountain ranges, deserts, coasts and jungles since 1974. Exodus Travels started life when two best friends got together to put on an overland truck to take in western Afghanistan’s Minaret of Jam – the most inaccessible of the world’s greatest monuments. It wasn’t long until our horizons expanded – including tours in Africa of course.
