The grandeur of the Mont Blanc massif is incredible to witness. The hiking was diverse, offering a fresh feel to each forest, peak and trail. I was amazed every step of the way and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I didn’t know views could be so break taking! Chamonix was a beautiful charming town – it was a great place to end each day.

Chamonix Holidays
In the shadow of Mont Blanc, within the French Alps, Chamonix is a global capital of adventure, particularly for mountaineering, climbing and skiing. Many of our Mont Blanc trekking holidays include Chamonix trips, allowing you the chance to explore this world-renowned Alpine village and the scenic valley of the same name.
Chamonix also marks the start (or end, depending on your trajectory) of the Haute Route, taking you all the way to Zermatt in Switzerland and linking the great European peaks of Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

Sonja Mobbs Mont Blanc Highlights
David Parkes Tour du Mont Blanc Camping TrekThis camping trek was challenging with many beautiful vistas. The mornings were busy so that we could start moving by 7:45 or 8:00. We had many 1000 meter accent days with similar descents. Our weather was hot most days which added to the challenge. We sometimes used lifts to get up or down, especially in the Chamonix valley. Our guide, Egle was very calm with a lovely smile to help us along. Albert, our camp organizer kept us well fed and was always ready to offer any help we needed. We had an excellent group of mostly very experienced hikers. The two nights without showers meant we had to wash as best we could. Overall an excellent experience.
