Anyone else coming to Egypt?

Hi,

This is my first time travelling with a tour company & staying in 4/5* hotels- really looking forward to it! I'm travelling on my own, I'm a 27 year old History teacher working in London, this is my hard-earned treat after a long year. Would be great to hear from other people before we go.

I'm slightly concerned about how hot it's going to be & I react really badly to mosquito bites so I'm stocking up on deet, just got my vaccinations done on Friday.

I know the trip notes say better to get currency in Egypt but I don't really see why- I think there are better deals on currency in the UK. Anyone know why they advise to get it there? Also wondering about how sturdy footwear needs to be for visiting the sites, I don't really like the look of walking sandals :(

Just made the big mistake of looking up hotels and the trip on trip advisor, why do some people have to post such negative comments? I feel a bit more unsure now :(

Hi,

This is also our first time with this company but have heard good things from friends. We are both teachers too so looking forward to getting away!

We have decided to get a bit of currency this week before we go and then get more out there if needed.

On the footwear front we have gone for some odd closed toe trail shoes with sandal backs! They seem to be a good compromise.

Hi,

Good to hear from you, I wonder where all are other fellow travellers are? I have also heard lots of good things about Exodus from other people so I'm expecting it to be really good.

All my worries above seem very silly now, I found some sandals that look ok and got my currency, just about to go shopping for final bits and pieces.

Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday,

Hazel
