Kilimanjaro and Safari

Hi all,

Is anyone out there booked on this trip?  I am booked on the group flights too, flying out of London on Sunday 04 September and really looking forward to it (well, not the long flight).

I am failing miserably on the training though, beyond walking up and down whatever stairs I can find!

I have been on a few other Exodus trip and always had a great time and great company.

Looking forward to meeting everyone,

Hi Angela and other fellow travellers,

I'm booked on this trip too! looking forward to meeting up for our flight 7 weeks today! Believe having looked at this forum that we need to hook up with another couple of fellow travellers who have already posted messages.

Unlike you Angela, I have not been with Exodus before but heard nothing but good things so feel confident in going with them.

Was concerned about my lack of training too but trying to get some in before we go. A few hills/mountains here in Scotland to keep me amused and test my endurance. Decided I'm a fair weathered low level walker though. Think I have a hefty challenge ahead of me.

Cheerie for now

Hmm... I had a look around the forum and couldn't find anyone else on this particular date, although I could be wrong.

Only 4 weeks to go now.  I've started putting my kit list together now to figure out if there's anything I'm missing and got an appointment to sort out malaria tablets next week.  I've never taken malaria tablets before and a little nervous that I won't get on with them but it's got to be better than actually getting malaria!

I'm sure it will be challenging for most people but everything I've heard and read suggests slow and steady is the way to go.  And I know we'll have fantastic support from everyone on trip (Exodus employees and fellow travellers alike!).

Hello all,

I think there are 9 people booked on the trip. I went on an exodus trip around Mont Blanc last year and also to Mt Toubkal in Morocco a few years ago. Exodus have been excellent both times.

I live in Wales and very used to hills but this one is slightly larger - Snowdon x 6 almost! Its about going slow and steady and enjoy I think. Got my malaria tablets yesterday as well so its getting close!
