Sri Lankan highlights AIA

Anyone joining us on this trip?

Just me I think

kellyspraget was just me and my partner for ages but we recieved word that there were now five of us so we are quite happy :-).  I think more people will join the nearer it gets!

I am Margaret.  I am on my own and this is my first trip with Exodus and first trip to Sri Lanka.  How many other people are going?  Any tips about Sri Lank?

This will be our 2nd trip with Exodus, we did Cuba in April and had a great time.  When we emailed about flights the other week they said there were five people on the trip but that might have changed now.  We've not been to Sri Lanka before so no trip unfortunately :-)

Look forward to meeting you soon

That was meant to say no 'tips' not no 'trips'!

Hello! I'm on this trip too!!! Can't wait...I've done a few trips with Exodus before...been on treks to India, Tanzania and Peru. They are very good. It'll be my first time in Sri Lanka...I'm very excited :)

Is everyone flying on the group flight with Sri Lankan airlines? They couldn't fit me in so I'm on an earlier Emirates flight. I'm travelling alone too.

See you all there

I am on the Sri Lankan Airlines flight too.  I am glad that there will be someone else on the transfer from the airport to the hotel.  I wonder if they actually got anyone on the Emirates flight.

We just got on the Sri Lankan airlines flight but had to pay extra...did exodus sort out your Emirates flights for you or did you have to organise them yourself?

 Look forward to meeting you

Kelly and Chris

Hi there, exodus organised my Emirates flight, I didn't pay any extra money for it. I have a stop in Dubai. Less than a month to go...very exciting!!! I bought myself a lonely planet today!

We just picked seats for our flights...very excited!  Not long to go now!

Hi All,

I did this trip at the end of August and it was hot and humid for most of it.  The aircon in the hotels was very welcome.  If it rains is rains hard so a brolly is a good idea.  It really is a lot colder when you get to Nuwara Eliya so be prepared, but it is only a couple of days.  The locals are all very freindly and will talk to you for almost as long as you can stand.  That is also why you need to be patient when waiting for service, food or drinks, but your on holiday so just enjoy it.  If you get our guide, Rosan, you are very lucky  as he know lots and is very friendly.  Say hi from me if it is.  Be prepared to cover up quite often during the first half of the trip for temple visits.

Hi Rob, Great to hear from you!

Thank you so much for the advice!  If we have Rosan, I'll make sure to say Hi :-)

Just over a week to go...very excited!  Might start packing :-)
