Yellow Fever vacc fir Tanzania/Zanzibar?

Health professionals give contradictory advice over necessity of vaccination against yellow fever when transiting via Nairobi Ie staying in airport, less than 12 hours). To be fair the latest advice seems to be that vaccination is not required under these circumstances but Exodus are saying that border guards (who of course hold all the cards when it comes down to entry) are still asking for certification. Does anyone have any recent information? We're keen to avoid unnecessary vaccination if possible.

Many thanks

Hi, I did Kili in Jan 2012 and travelled via Nairobi. I'd had the Yellow Fever jab from previous trips and took my certificate with me and its a good job I did as on arrival in Tanzania we were all asked to produce it. I was quite surprised as we were literally a couple of hours in Nairobi airport. I realise that's over a year ago but thought I'd share my experience in case it helps.
