Established in 1981, it was the first protected area in Sicily and features the most beautiful coastal trails that lead you along mile upon mile of unspoiled coastline from Scopello to San Vito Lo Capo. There are plenty of different hiking trails that cater for all levels of ability and provide you with striking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains. The reserve is also home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, perfect for birdwatching and nature photography.

The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento is one of Sicily’s most significant archaeological sites and has been granted UNESCO World Heritage status. This sprawling complex of ancient Greek temples dates back to the 5^th-century BC and is one of the best-preserved sites in Italy. The most famous temples include the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Juno and the doric Temple of Heracles.
