The Most Incredible Adventure Ever

As an Exodus Employee, spending two weeks in Costa Rica getting to explore the country’s most beautiful and diverse sites was one of the most incredible adventures I have been on. The fact that all places are so unique and diverse from one another and getting to see incredible wildlife throughout the trip was fantastic.

Most Inspirational Moment

Getting to meet Aurora in the Copey Valley and learn about her family history of the farm and have an authentic interaction and share a meal with her.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Johnny Villalobos was unbelievable. His passion for conservation, social impact and this trip shows throughout every fibre of himself. He provided some incredible insight into the history, geography and sustainability of the country and just contributed to the overall brilliant trip itinerary!

Advice for Potential Travellers

This is a brilliant trip to go onto if you are a solo traveler or are traveling with a friend where you want to see the highlights of the country and have a love for wildlife of all shapes and sizes.

Carpathian Walking & Bears

In addition to my earlier comments, I would add: Efficient transfer service and, most importantly, an extremely good, friendly, helpful, good English-speaking guide “Sebi”. Sebi (short for Sebastian, I believe) deserves a lot of praise – please ensure that he receives this feedback.

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing twenty + bears when we went to the bear hide. Wonderful scenery. Sebi, the local guide. The other members of the trip.

Thoughts on Group Leader

He was fantastic. Please ensure that he receives this feedback.

Walking in Albania

Just a really enjoyable time. Leader Bleard was excellent and ensured the smooth running of the trip.

Most Inspirational Moment

The scenery, the group experience

Thoughts on Group Leader

Bleard was an excellent leader. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and I can not thank him enough.

Hike Spain's Sierra de Aitana

Overall everything was very good, our leader Jose was outstanding in all aspects from the walks, his local knowledge of the area ,its flora and fauna Communities and customs. His character also made this trip special.

Most Inspirational Moment

The scenery, the food and accommodation, the wonderful walking plus the owner of the small hotel, Raquel and star group leader Jose. I must also include all group members too who together all made the trip special.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Jose was without doubt a top leader in my view and experience and I have never had a more helpful leader including on " the free day" Outstanding.

A Week in Jordan

Really well organised trip, our guide Mikhled was really insightful, knowledgeable and approachable and made the whole tour feel incredible, I personally learned a lot while enjoying myself.

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting Petra, and the desert experience in Wadi Rum.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Mikhled was amazing, super insightful and approachable. His knowledge of the country is incredible and he's really good at explaining history and facts, also he showed us around the best shops and helped us avoid tourist traps.

Botswana & Zimbabwe Lodge Safari

Excellent trip, well organised and a suitable number of travellers. We have. Travelled with Exodus many times and appreciate the quality of on site staff.

Most Inspirational Moment

There were continual amazing things to see and do. The combination of games drives and walking safaris was excellent and the variety of animals seen surpassed expectations. Overnight camping and travel by Mokoro dugout canoes in the Delta was well organised and another amazing experience. The differences in landscapes added to the overall experience. Accommodation was comfortable and well chosen overall.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Very caring and conscientious. Nothing was too much trouble. He shared his knowledge about the animals, landscape and countries generously and with thought and consideration.

Hiking the Dolomites

Everything was great. The options of 3 or 5 level hikes, the private transfers that cut down on the long waiting for public buses and made us feel safe on the mountain roads, the selection of hikes, the kindness and helping tips from Jenny and Rob, getting to experience both as hike leaders, the exceptional hotel staff, delicious food… all was wonderful

Most Inspirational Moment

Learning from the hike leaders (poling skills, plants, so much!), Jenny and Rob. Gorgeous surroundings! Personalized care from the hotel staff (food preferences). The guides got us to the most wow factor places no matter our abilities. We lived the others in our group also and the option to mix levels each day so we often hiked with new people.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Jenny was AMAZING. She was very knowledgeable of the area and hiking in general. She was kind and funny and patient and challenged us to try new things. She helped us work together and allowed us to go at our own pace. Rob was also very good - although we only did one hike with him - and added a lot with his geology knowledge.

Breathtaking

An epic adventure full of jaw dropping moments & experiences: Desert to ancient cities, mountains, museums & a whole lot more. The scale, size & beauty of the architectural monuments alone is spectacular. An unforgettable(but tiring) trip..the people are very friendly, the food is plentiful & cheap compared to the UK & the artisanal crafts just exquisite. Be prepared for a tiring first 2 days especially, as jet lag will ‘get’ you & overall I think the trip should be re-classified as Moderate as their isn’t much down time at all & the middle 3 days (Home stay, overnight train, Yurt camp ) with a long minibus drive on extremely bumpy track is quite exhausting. Pack as light as you can (make space for taking some of the amazing textiles home)& comfortable travelling clothes. Take dollars & change them when you get there (not everywhere takes cards or dollars-Uzbek Som preferred). I do think that Exodus should review the itinerary if possible as the long road trip on very bumpy track was tough & we had a full size coach into the Homestay when 2 Mini buses would have been better as the coach really struggled to get through the narrow roads. Does the final section from Bukhara to Tashkent have to be by train??Travellers be prepared for long presentations by the Tour Leader when you arrive at a site (to be honest, these should be shortened as its very hard to take lots of info in when you’re recovering from jet leg). Hotels overall very good . An experience (or hundred) for a lifetime!!

Most Inspirational Moment

Too many to single out but the friendliness of the Uzbek people stood out for me, just as much as all the incredible UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Excellent.

Outstanding tour leader!!! Tiziano went out of his way to add some 'extra' stops along the way. He organized several group dinners which was a fun way socialize with the entire group. He was extremely helpful when my cousin fell ill and arranged transport to our next stop so she could rest for two days.
