Our guide Augustin was excellent and our camp manager/chef Albert was also excellent.

The scenery was outstanding, when the weather allowed. Great guide who led/advised us well with regards to the hiking but also with a good sense of humour. Some excellent food and some lovely new friends.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Led a mixed group of personalities really well. Great sense of humour and good at trying to include all. Supportive, informative and personable. I would happily recommend him to any of my friends and family, and would happily have him guiding my young adult sons on a trek.

I would not suggest the tour based on the mediocre hotels

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers and that your tour leader did a great job.
We’re sorry to learn that the hotels didn’t meet your expectations. While the overall accommodation score for this trip currently stands between good and excellent, we appreciate that the hotels selected for your trip missed the mark for you.
It’s worth noting that this trip is classified under our “Classic” comfort level. As described on our website, Classic accommodation includes a range of options such as pensions, guesthouses, and hotels with good hospitality. These are often small, family-run properties chosen for their local character and location, or occasionally larger hotels with extras like pools, lounge areas, or gardens. All Classic accommodation is selected to provide the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including private bathroom facilities as standard and either air conditioning or fans in hot climates. Most properties in this category are equivalent to European two- or three-star hotels.
We really appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our trips. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to get in touch directly. Thank you again for travelling with us and for taking the time to leave a review.
The organisation and execution of the trip met all expectations – the types of person using Exodus were highly compatible with each other, the number of participants was sensible, the accommodation was generally good.

Our Guide, Petrous, found all the game that we'd been expecting - amazing.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Really knowledgeable about the animals, birds, and places we visited. Excellent at finding and identifying animals for us to see. Great driver of the bus - and good chaperone for border crossings and town visits. Prepared great food for our lunches and breakfasts. Kept us all together and moving!!
I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about Albania to take this cultural tour. I hope you are lucky and get Artur as your guide and Diu as your driver. These men are pros. I loved traveling around the country to visit several UNESCO World Heritage sites, small towns, the national forest, and the coast line. Albania is changing so quickly as it commercially develops. You can still experience the old Albania through its traditional costumes, dances, and small towns.
Most Inspirational Moment
Standing at the panoramic viewpoint before the National Park and watching a paraglider sail off into air!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Artur is a true professional. He loves his country and shares all the ways that it has changed since the times of the fascist government and communist regime. I learned so much. He had a wonderful way to draw our group together so we felt like family. I also wanted to mention our excellent driver (Diu) who made us feel so safe in the way he drove the mountaineous roads.
Advice for Potential Travellers
You’ll spend some long days on the bus. You’ll need to get Albanian currency or euros to pay for your meals and drinks in the small towns. They often don’t take credit cards.
The trip was well organised, accommodation was very good, our guide was excellent. The information I received before travelling was helpful and informative.

She was very informative, helpful with any questions or information individuals required or asked for. She very quickly knew everyone’s names so interactions were personal and genuine.
All of our experiences with Exodus have been positive and we really enjoy the itineraries that are available.

Whale watching in Hermanus, game drives, wine tasting in Stellenbosch, Storms River - it's honestly hard to choose highlights because everything was so good.

Petro is one of the best guides we've ever had, and we've been on almost 20 small group tours. Her enthusiasm, organization, and knowledge were just fantastic. I would go out of my way to travel with her again.
Very well planned and gave a good overview of the country. Trip notes were accurate and helpful
Most Inspirational Moment
Being in the Gobi desert

Bata was brilliant and 'read' the group well. His timings were accurate and he was a mine of useful information. I always felt I knew what to expect from each day.
This was a wonderful trip which exceeded my expectations in many ways: the diversity of landscapes, the variety of walks (cliffs, headlands, dunes, rocky paths) and the knowledge and care of our local guides.
Most Inspirational Moment
There were many inspiring moments along the trail: the powerful Atlantic waves relentlessly crashing against towering cliffs and the view of the coastline disappearing into the distance were powerful memories for me.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leaders were exceptionally proud, young Portuguese men who inspired in us, an understanding of this unique part of the world by sharing their knowledge and love of their country.
Advice for Potential Travellers
September and October or alternatively April and May would be the most comfortable walking months. Pack comfortable, worn-in boots as some paths are uneven and be prepared to get down and get dirty on some slopes.
What an amazing week we have had in the French Alps! It was the first time we have travelled with Exodus and would certainly travel with them again. So well organised from start to finish, from the information given beforehand, the pick ups, accommodation, hospitality, food and hikes. All amazing! The quality of food produced by Carolina and Seb was top class.
Our guide Adrian was so kind, funny and knowledgeable of this area he made hiking so enjoyable.

The scenery was absolutely stunning everywhere we went.

Advice for Potential Travellers
The hikes are varied and not as hard as you would think for the alps.
