Highlights of Albania

Brilliant guide. Brilliant organisation. Loved it all

Most Inspirational Moment

The mountains. The lunch in the country farm. Amazing.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Great knowledge of history of country. Also looked after group really well. Made sure everyone was safe all the time. Was easy to talk to and was very helpful re organising taxis when necessary. He organised excellent restaurants for ourevening meals.

Amazing Cycling in Puglia !

It’s been 1 year since the first week of June, 2025 when my wife and I did the 1-week cycling of the Puglia region beginning in the city/town of Matera (which is in the Basilicata region, right on the border of the Puglia region). We had such an amazing time exploring the back country roads and many small quaint towns the Puglia region offers.
So many memorable stops along the way including caffe, gelato, walks in town squares (piazza).
The group of 15 riders plus Emanuele (local tour guide) and Leonardo (driver/assistant) were all great people to spend a vacation with.

Most Inspirational Moment

Matera stands out to me for multiple reasons (not the least of which is the fact that I was born there!). We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a trullo in Albero Bello. To be able and take a swim in 2 of the beaches along the way was great! The meals were wonderful (but this was no surprise). Watching the making of mozzarella and then having it served fresh for lunch was also memorable. So many, many more memorable instances along the way made this truly one of the best vacations. I have a new-found appreciation for the Puglia region and all it has to offer… we will be back!!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both Emanuele (local tour guide) and Leonardo (driver/assistant) were absolutely awesome! So easy to connect with and quickly establish a rapport and friendship with. Side note: personally enjoyed speaking to them in Italian (as well as dialetto Barese)!!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Book it !! Its totally worth it and I highly recommend it: 10/10.

Walk the Prosecco Hills & Hidden Venice

Our guide Mattia Mandelli was absolutely fantastic! So pleasant and he went out of his way to ensure everyone’s needs were met. He paid attention to every little detail to ensure we all had the best experience possible. This trip offered the right amount of walking/hiking paired with personal time to explore Venice and nearby towns like Treviso. And of course Mattia made sure we had the information we needed to explore based on our own or group interests. He is the best!!

Most Inspirational Moment

The Valdobiadenne winery hike and prosecco tasting. The winery made our visit very special.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Mattia was an excellent leader. I would chose him again for sure! He is the BEST!

Mont Blanc Hiking Highlights

The guide we had, Egle, was amazing. she knew everything about the mountain passes and trees/flowers/birds etc. she was a delightful person. A few in our group were struggling with some of the heights along the edge of the mountain and she adjusted our last hike so all could participate which was thoughtful of her. We also appreciated the well thought out and delicious meals and variety prepared by Dorota and Hammish was also amazing with his help in the kitchen and cleaning.

Most Inspirational Moment

seeing all the mountains and the terrain and learning about the various trees and plants and how they grow and the affects of the glaciers etc. it was breath taking and surreal.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Egle is amazing. she explained all about the mountains and what we were seeing during each hike. she told us about the trees and how the glacial snow affects them. and what the difference between types of trees/flowers/plants. she told us about all the diff animals. we heard some but did not run into any she encouraged us to relax on breaks and listen to the birds and nature and to detach from our busy lives. she also came out with us after the hikes and we had a blast together. she is an absolute gem also as previously mentioned there were a few in our group who did not like heights and hiking close to the edge of the mountains and she changed the route to accommodate them which was thoughtful so that all could participate yet those who liked the heights still got to enjoy them.

Corsica - Corte and St Florent

This is a new trip and we were a very small group which felt rather privileged. The choice of centres Corte and St Florent gives a taste of walking in mountainous country and on the coast – quite a contrast but both are fascinating and historic areas.

Most Inspirational Moment

The valley of Restonica is absolutely beautiful and I think this was my favourite walk with a chance to see fascinating rock formations and lovely wild flowers and other plants in the maquis. The day free to explore Bastia was also a great experience.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Paulin was a delightful leader - with a positive and smiling personality. His knowledge of flora, fauna and history was outstanding and his love of Corsica was very evident. He also had a great sense of humour - always essential in a guide.

Advice for Potential Travellers

This is a fabulous trip - it's great to have the contrasts between mountain and sea locations. But make sure you pack for every type of weather - it can be changeable!

Loire Valley: Walks, Wine & Chateaux

The Loire Valley itinerary was the perfect mix of walking and hiking, visiting the lovely chateau and local wineries, and enjoying wonderful food and wine at charming local restaurants. The Vouvray “Brotherhood” ceremony was a unique experience and a fun, unexpected surprise.

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting the various chateau, great local food and wine!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Yannis was very knowledgeable, organized and clearly communicated each day’s itinerary and schedule to the group, so we always knew what to expect.

Walking The Amalfi Coast

Great communication from start to finish, fabulous guide with great local knowledge and fantastic rapport with everyone we met, very reasonable price for everything that was included in the trip.

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting places that you would only know of if you were local to the area. Fantastic scenery that you would only see if you're walking...i.e. It can't be seen from the road. Having the benefit of our fantastic guide, Roberta. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about every place we went, had a fantastic rapport with everyone we met...from other guides and cattleowners on the trails to the local retailers in the cafes and restaurants we visited.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Roberta was so knowledgeable and passionate about every place we went, she had a fantastic rapport with everyone we met...from other guides and cattleowners on the trails to the local retailers in the cafes and restaurants we visited. She was great fun and treated everyone with respect. She was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't speak more highly of her.

Mont Blanc- 23rd may 2026

An absolutely amazing experience! The tour was incredibly well-organized from start to finish. We stayed at a beautiful chalet with breathtaking, insane views of Mont Blanc.
Our guide, Adrian, was fantastic. He was always there to help with any question or situation, and his explanations of the routes we hiked were super clear and helpful. He was always available, incredibly patient, and brought such a fun energy to the group with his great sense of humor.
Also thanks to Julieta and Odran, the two chalet hosts. They took amazing care of us, cooked delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and were incredibly nice and welcoming throughout the whole trip. As a small note regarding dinner, the meals were plated individually as a starter, main, and dessert. While it was lovely, I would have personally preferred a style where food is placed on the table so everyone can choose their own portions. To sum up, it was an amazing adventure.

Perfect

The accommodation was fantastic: beautiful, friendly and peaceful. The food was amazing, and the walks were spectacular. It was a brilliant week. I can’t recommend it enough.

Most Inspirational Moment

Reaching the Tambura Pass on the way to the summit. The mountain range sprawls out in front, leading to the port and coast. So beautiful.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. Having them drive the van was really helpful as it gave them the flexibility to adapt to the weather and the group's pace without rushing anyone. They made an effort to include all members of the group including the quieter members (me) which was greatly appreciated.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Don't do the Level 5 if you have a fear of heights as there are exposed sections high up and very narrow paths in places. Pack everything including waterproofs and gloves (even if it's meant to be warm the whole week).

The Best!

This was my 12th Exodus cycling trip and this was one of the most fantastic!
The countryside and mountains are among the most beautiful in Europe.
Our group leader was outstanding, taking care of our many different needs and organising some of the best meals we’ve had.
Brilliant cycling on amazing roads, guided by the best leader, Armando

Most Inspirational Moment

Many - stunning scenery, mountain springs, bird songs, wild flowers, donkeys, goats, sheep and horses Great fun with a lovely bunch of cyclists.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Armando was the best leader I've experienced. Enthusiastic, efficient, knowledgeable and organised, not a minute was wasted. He organised all the meals, phoning ahead, of our arrival, so we never had to wait. There were always spare charged batteries for those with E bikes. He took great care in getting to know us all and to respond to our varying needs.

Advice for Potential Travellers
