Cycling Girona
This was a fantastic trip, beautiful and varied scenery, great cycling on many off road tracks, lots of opportunities to visit small communities and swim in the sea on the way.
Most Inspirational Moment
Too many to mention! Swimming in the sea during and after cycling days, wine tasting, fields of sunflowers, delicious food and an enthusiastic and very professional guide.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent. Very conscientious, enthusiastic and personable.
The trip fulfilled all my expectations and exceeded them in many cases. Brilliant leadership from both our leaders and we felt safe under their guidance. The construction of the tour had been thoughtfully put together with the two occasions when we we had free time being timely and were needed! We particularly liked the contrast between the safari occasions and going to Mozambique which provided sea adventures and a contrast in social dynamics. We had a great holiday.
Most Inspirational Moment
The safari encounters. The opportunity to be taken on a walk in the game reserve of Imfolozi. The opportunities to see, swim and walk in Mozambique Being able to trust our two leaders completely. (Onery drove safely, provided great meals and acted as a game guide extremely well. Tracy was consistently there, fun, helpful and knowledgeable.
Thoughts on Group Leader
At all times Tracy was courteous, fun, cheerful and knowledgeable. I had complete trust in her. Although her experience was limited in Mozambique and didn't speak the local language our second leader Onery was very competent in both. They made a super duo.
We really appreciated how organized the tour was, along with our tour guide Veriano. We appreciated how the room was set up for us, we didn’t have to wait in line for tickets or to figure out where to go. That was very helpful.
Most Inspirational Moment
Ravello was probably my favorite. I really enjoyed everything. I was happy that the different towns/places we saw were scheduled for an appropriate time frame.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was knowledgeable, friendly, personable, always watched out for everyone on the tour
Both leaders were very good.
Excellent communicators.
Good local knowledge.

Miguel was the most attentive and interesting leader, extremely helpful when I forgot a passport and nothing was too much trouble. Always took us to fascinating places and booked superb restaurants. Can’t recommend him more highly.
Advice for Potential Travellers
It’s more diverse , interesting and fun than you may think. Would definitely go back.
The buses provided were comfortable, clean anddrivers drove safely on mountain roads.. I liked that Exodus included tipping of drivers and hotel staff into the price of vacation – unlike previous Exodus trips.
Most Inspirational Moment
In no particular order - Our 2 bedroom suite. Every hike was it's own highlight. Getting to know our group. Stiina., our guide
Thoughts on Group Leader
She was the best Exodus leader I've experienced and the reason I was so enthusiastic about the trip.
Each day the hikes were different in nature, and each hike was beautiful. The Cortijo was in a beautiful setting and the pool was great after a day of hiking. The guide was excellent. He adjusted the pace for the various abilities of the hikers. He knew a lot about flora and fauna and taught us a great deal.
Most Inspirational Moment
The views and scenery of each hike
Thoughts on Group Leader
He is very knowledgeable about the culture, places to visit, and flora and fauna. He was pleasant, waited for slower people, gave us options of things to do and see in Seville, Malaga and Ronda. There were days he was a little more cheery and social than others, but I think it was a stressful week given the cook changes etc.

A truly amazing trip!
I did this trip in June of 2024 and it was truly fantastic! We had amazing rides through Catalonia including ancient sites, sparkling coastal views, and breathtaking sunflower fields. The rides were well-paced, with amazing stops for delicious food and dips in the inviting sea. The host was an absolute joy, with his knowledge matched by his passion for the area. I highly recommend this trip!
Most Inspirational Moment
Jumping into the sea after an inspiring day of riding.
A stunning mountain adventure, set against crystal-clear blue sea
Fantastic week of hiking in the north eastern side of Sardinia. Dramtic and rugide rocky hills with clear blue sea’s.
Most Inspirational Moment
Tiscali, with the technical sections of basic scrambling and Nuragi site on top! Or Cala Luna Beach, cystle blue water.

Tony Sardo, was passionate and tentitive... even with his yorkshire italian accent!!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Good balance and coordination are essential. This route is very different from walking in the Dales—most of the terrain consists of sharp, uneven limestone rock, with exposed edges. There are also some short sections of Grade 1 scrambling.
It’s important to be fit and properly prepared, with suitable hiking boots, poles, and a backpack of at least 22 litres.”
