Costa Rica Discovery
First Exodus women’s tour and every part of it was fantastic!! We had a wonderful guide who could not have been more knowledgeable or helpful and funny. Torteguero was the highlight on the boat in the primal rainforest. However we covered 7 different ecosystems all different and exciting. Loved the bird life we did get to see a lot. I definitely recommend this trip it was so interesting. The watch outs were the zip lines are high and you need warm clothing for the Savegre as it is so high.
Most Inspirational Moment
Wildlife and the different ecosystems. Plus the visit to local lady and her farm.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Amazing, Katie is inspirational and freely shared so much with us, on many subjects. Also brilliantly organised, always checking on our welfare and organised extra activities as well. She is fabulous.

Fantastic, once in a lifetime!
Hard, but a wonderful experience. We became a great team – the group and our guides. The key to making it to Base Camp!
Most Inspirational Moment
Making it to Base Camp. One of our guides Kaji had summited Everest 8 times, it was amazing having him with us. It was fantastic being able to ask him so many questions. An inspirational man. Coffee/lunch in Namche Bazaar was a lovely treat on the way down.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Superb, we all had total trust in him. He looked after us incredibly well. He made us into a great team. Nothing was too much trouble. He also had a great sense of humour and was a lovely man.
Advice for Potential Travellers
It's very, very cold at night in late November/early December.
Don't expect luxury - you are in a remote location!

Disappointed
A very expensive trip that didn’t live up to the perception of the trips notes. We had lots of changes to our accommodation which certainly was inferior and very basic.
Most Inspirational Moment
That one very special hour with the gorillas, the sights of the Masai Mara, White Water Rafting down the Nile and Murchison Falls.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Jacob our group leader was fantastic . He was very knowledgeable and great to be around. Stonecold our driver also needs a special mention.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If WW Rafting is on your list then check it out as a dam has been built and if open the rafting will be poor. If you really want to see Chimps be prepared for disappointment. Check how many on your trip. If not full then the bag situation doesn’t come into it. Be prepared for some very basic accommodation. After the Masai Mara the parks are pretty disappointing.
Reply from Exodus
We would like to thank Anne for her feedback. Whilst we are pleased that she enjoyed seeing gorillas, the sights of the Masai Mara and white water rafting, and that she found her tour leader to be excellent, we are very sorry that she was disappointed with certain aspects of the trip. We regret that Anne’s group was not able to see chimps in the Budongo Forest. This was the only departure in 2018 that did not see chimps in this location. Although there were an unusual number of accommodation changes to the trip notes on this departure, the words “or similar” are included in our literature because there is not one specific property that that is always used in each location. Whilst we consider these properties to meet the standard that we would expect, we will continue to closely monitor feedback regarding the accommodation used on this trip. John Penge – Product Manager

Excellent trip
What a great trip. A good mixture of scenery, animals, the city and history. In most hotels for two or more nights and the drives were never that long. Difficult to fault it really. The accommodation was all good to excellent. Food was great and relatively cheap. A few ‘free days’ with optional trips as well adding to flexibility. The accomodation in De Rust (Jan and Theresa) was excellent and they were very welcoming and made amazing food (most of us went away with recipes at the end!). Would definitely advise an extra few days in Cape Town at the end – there’s so much to do and see there. I had an extra three days but wouldn’t have been bored with an extra five.
Most Inspirational Moment
Learning about the history.
Safari.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Justin, our guide, was exceptional. Kept everyone happy and was well organised and efficient whilst appearing completely relaxed (no mean feat!). Explained everything well. Very knowledgeable about the whole country from the history and the wildlife. Can't fault him.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Most places accept cards so don't need to use cash machines too much.
Book a few extra days at the end.
All of the additional trips are excellent - suggest budget to go on them all. (the second game reserve drive is a must)
The weather is very changeable so worth having a warm jumper and waterproof (November departure)
Accept you will put on a few extra pounds during this trip!
Check and double check that you need to pick up bags in Jo'Burg prior to Port Elizabeth transfer

Vietnam Adventure trip review
Fantastic trip. First time that I have been on a holiday alone. I had absolutely no need to worry. Exodus were able to give ages and sexes of other travellers on certain dates when I was booking. I was so lucky with my group, a fantastic mix of ages, some couples, friends and other lone travellers. Everyone got on so well and we all mixed with each other and no one was ever left out.
Our group leader Ngoc made the trip as he was a local guide with a wealth of knowledge and experiences that he was always willing to share with the group. He was very attentive to the groups needs and always willing to please. He also had a great sense of humour to keep us all amused.
This is a full on trip and it is all go for the 2 weeks but I can’t see how else would have seen what we did. There was free time in the afternoons which you can spend alone or with others. Lots of shopping opportunities. I made the most of any extra activities, cycle and boat trips which were great fun. Such fantastic scenery. All flat ground and at a leisurely pace. I would suggest a bit of practice in the Uk first just to get your confidence as the Vietnamese roads can be busy and unexpected to say the least! A must do activity though. I also went on a cooking class where we cooked what we ate, saw the water puppet show in Saigon and saw an acrobatic show as well. All amazing.
My advice:
Pack light. There were at least 3 opportunities to have washing done cheaply and it came back ironed and smelling fresh.
Take clothes that can cope with creases and wick away, travel clothes were my lifeline. It was soooooo hot and humid and I went in the “cooler” month. You sweat as soon as you get out of the hotel so I would rinse clothes in the bathroom too.
Take swimwear as we had 3 tiny pools overall on the trip.
Take comfortable shoes and sandals. No need to dress up really smart in Vietnam. Be cool and comfortable
Make sure you leave space in your case when you leave home as you have to live out of your suitcase and everything gets messed around and difficult to fit back. We all found this. Plus you will buy things that you want to bring home.
I took a mixture of Vietnamese dong and American dollars but the Dong was much more useful day to day. Credit cards weren’t excepted everywhere.
Western toilets everywhere.
Take loo roll and hand sanitiser out in your day bag.
I spent far to long wondering whether to book this trip, would I like, would I be left on my own, would everyone in the group be nice.
I had absolutely no need to worry. I had so much fun, met a fantastic group of people, ate wonderful food and had the most amazing experiences. I would definately recommend this trip to any of my friends and family.
Most Inspirational Moment
The whole trip. Experiencing a different country, new foods, people and cultures. Amazing scenary. We visited some fantastic temples and I learnt a lot of history along the way.

A trip packed with interesting experiences
It’s hard to imagine that so many varied activities could be squeezed into a two week holiday, and our guide Santo James was excellent for the local knowledge that he provided. I came away with a much better understanding of Kerala, its culture and the problems that it has to deal with. Just one tip – don’t bother with the Kathakali dancing unless you have a serious interest in religious rictuals. I’d rather watch paint dry!
Most Inspirational Moment
A trip to see a Tollywood movie (the Tamil equivalent of Bollywood). Brilliant entertainment.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Santo James was excellent. Helpful, well organised and knowledgable.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Be prepared for high humidity as well as heat - except in the hills where it’s still quite warm.

INDIAN EXPERIENCE WITH EXODUS.
Visited lots of lovely places and the tour guide was lovely. Took so much care of everyone. Saw some beautiful palaces, temples and forts in a short time. A fully packed holiday organised with ease for us travellers.
Most Inspirational Moment
The hotels were a wonderful surprise. The stories in all the places we visited. Care taken to make sure we had a wonderful experience of and feel of the country.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was fantastic. I could not of asked for a better group leader. He responded very quickly each person's needs and supported all in the group. Very patient with everyone.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Print the trip notes and keep them with you. They were very useful.

Colourful India
A truly comphrehensive tour of Kerala with just the right amount of contrast throughout the 2 weeks.
Most Inspirational Moment
Too many to mention but amongst them has to be seeing elephants in the wild up close and personal, the magical temple in Madurai at sunset, the relaxing houseboat in Allepey, watching fruitbats flying overhead in their hundreds, pulling up a fishing net in Cochin...Oh, I could go on and on..
Thoughts on Group Leader
Sam was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty. He even went out and bought one of our group a cake when it was her birthday.
He was a mine of information and always wore a smile no matter what was thrown at him. Our coach broke down one night in the back of beyond and Sam handled the whole situation very swiftly and with great professionalism. He is a charming man and a credit to your company.
Advice for Potential Travellers
The trekking is quite hard in places so make sure you are fit enough.
Take extra sd cards because there is a photograph around every corner!!
Just go...and enjoy the beauty of southern India and all of her wonders.

Kerala is open to tourists! A memorable trip not to be missed !!
When I booked I hoped for a good memorable holiday, what I came home was an amazing experience that will live with me forever! It exceeded my expectations
Most Inspirational Moment
Too many too mention all of them! However need to mention ( no particular order) the visit to a local school, the overnight stay on the backwater, the lady making bricks, going to the cinema, the flower market, tuck tuck ride, the food, the people and everything on the itinerary.
The overnight stay on the back was extremely relaxing, comfortable accommodation and we where served delicious food for lunch and dinner. Prior to dinner we had a short walk to an uninhabited island on the way seeing local people going about their lives
.
Visiting the school (3-8year olds) we where given the warmest welcome from the adorable children.
They welcomed us by singing songs, in return we sang to them (Old McDonald had a farm!! )
We all had big smiles as we left ... impossible not too!!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Santo was a great ambassador for Exodus, always well presented, professional, friendly with smile no matter what.
Knowledgeable, always offering interesting alternative suggestions to try not on the itinerary.
Being responsive to the group wishes, an awareness of each member of the group and ready to accommodate their needs. Whether it was assisting with food suggestions or finding a working ATM (Mondays they often run out of cash), nothing was too much trouble for him.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Grab every opportunity to experience not only what’s on the itinerary but the amazing non scheduled events offered. This gives you a real insight into this amazing country ! All too good to miss!
Go with an open mind and be willing to embrace every experience you can even if it takes you out of your comfort zone. You may like me enjoy something new and learn a lot about yourself,
Don’t expect it to be perfect, nowhere is and therefore you will be disappointed. Change is good !

Nice trip, well divided between doing the touristy thing in colorful, bustling Marrakech and walking in the mountains. The difficulty level is somewhere between a 2 and a 3, rocky and uneven paths. Good shoes and walking poles, guys! Die hard walk enthusiasts may find the 3 days of walking not challenging enough. Food was freshly perpared, clean and tasty. The accomodation decent. Showers hot.
Most Inspirational Moment
Navigatibg the rocky paths and making it in time. Albeit last!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Omar was a young group leader, probably not very experienced in leading. Had to be reminded a few times that he needed to be looking out for the last person on the trail rather than trying to be the first one to reach from point A to point B.
