Cape Town and the Garden Route

Every trip we have done with you has been amazing. The team leaders go over and above to ensure you have an unforgettable experience. Booking is simple and any pre tour questions are always answered timely and professionally.

Most Inspirational Moment

Additional game drive - we had a bull elephant walk down the edge of our truck. It was jaw dropping. Storms River beautiful - great hiking. I could go on but the whole trip was superb.

Discover Istanbul

Great trip. Interesting, fantastic guide. Hotel really nice and in a great location.

Most Inspirational Moment

The basilica cisterns were great and the Dolmabache palace was very interesting. Also Melissa the guide who really knew her stuff and was very good at answering all our questions.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Melissa was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Giving us recommendations and directions for our free time.

Italian Dolomites Cross-Country Skiing

Great leaders, very good value, interesting places and varied adventures

Most Inspirational Moment

Skiing in the Dolimites: every view is a highlight!

Thoughts on Group Leader

He was excellent at managing the group. When I was injured he took care of me and still kept the group on track for their lunch location and more skiing. His overall skills as a leader are very strong.

Kerala & the Tropical South

It was very well organised, to what appear to be the main highlights of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Visits were planned for the group to gain the most experience e.g. times of day, vantage points. The programme is nicely varied for the widest experiences. Discussion was encouraged – which this group readily responded to. Not sure if there is a section on the tour manager, but Vinod was an absolute star: he was knowledgeable in so many areas, gave background context, always made sure everyone had their refreshment and meal orders, was always available for whatever anyone needed to raise with him. Plus he’s an incredibly nice chap!

Most Inspirational Moment

There are so many... Tea plantation and nature reserve walks, Madurai temple visits, houseboat sailing, palaces. Appreciated the more relaxed time in Kovolam. Well worth upgrading to the rooms nearer the sea.

Thoughts on Group Leader

In a word, fantastic. He made sure he welcomed us on our delayed arrival and quickly introduced us to the group. His knowledge (history, culture, nature) is superb and he is only too willing to share it. We had regular talks and shared information on our journeys. Organisation is a huge strength. Hotel check-ins a doddle as he had copied our passports, he was always present to help with food/drink orders and to ensure their prompt arrival. His planning and sense of timing are excellent

Foothills of the Himalaya

So interesting on many levels. Pace good. Good size group. I really enjoyed all the things we saw on the travel but the journeys were pretty long!

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing Indian life. Deepening my understanding of Indian culture and its religions. Hardiwar - seeing people bathing the Ganges etc Aarti Ceremony. Town of Shimila Golden Temple - both in the day and night

Thoughts on Group Leader

Sukrit was an amazing leader. Not sure how he managed to keep us all on track and together in one big group given the business of some of places we visited. We had amazing knowledge and interest in many things.. always keen to take questions. He was enthusiastic, professional and engaged well with all of the group as appropriate. You could see the amount of work the role undertook and he did amazingly well.

Discover New Zealand

Advice for Potential Travellers

Avoid Dubai!

Discover Sri Lanka

Well organised and paced trip with lots of variety – nature, history, etc. Helpful and patient sales team. Excellent guide, driver and conductor whilst on tour. Good back office support when our return flights were repeatedly cancelled.

Most Inspirational Moment

The Horton Plains walk, Sigiriya and the visit to the local farm, but every day brought something wonderful. Also the people of Sri Lanka who were extremely friendly and welcoming. Particular mention to staff at the Covanro hotel in Veyangoda when we were delayed there due to flight cancellations, who checked in on us, offered to arrange a free day trip as they worried we were bored (we declined, it wouldn't have been right to accept) and were generally great people.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Sujan was brilliant. From the off he set the scene for a good group interaction and made clear what he needed from us and we could expect from him in return. He was fun, and funny, as well as being incredibly well organised and unflappable. He was knowledgeable about history, nature, botany, society and also had a great handle on how to manage group dynamics which made things run incredibly smoothly. He lives his job and his country and was a fantastic ambassador for Sri Lanka.

Cycling Vietnam

Our guide and trip leader, Son Nguyen was truly outstanding in every measure of leadership, Communications, planning, patience, expertise as a biker, safety, team building and a credit to his country as a fantastic ambassador. He made all of us feel welcomed and comfortable with a sense of humor and listening skills that build our group into a family.

Most Inspirational Moment

The final dinner at our guide, Son Nguyen's home, Whale Island and our challenging rife up High Van Pass.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Just an outstanding person who loves his profession and a wonderful ambassador of Vietnam. Funny, smart, perceptive, proud of his country and terrific at building our 'family'. Works tremendously hard and tireless. Son is the A team and a leader who should be tapped to train other guides. He made our vacation one of the best holidays we had ever had and we will recommend him to our friends.

Discover Sri Lanka

Our trip was really well organised: from the trip notes to the first group meeting, we had clear instructions by email. When we met the local group leader (Sujan), we were impressed with his communications and leadership skills. Throughout the trip, we knew when/where/how the day was going to be organised. We felt safe and well looked after by someone with a high level of professionalism and pride in his country as well as pride in the company. Great customer care after the trip too!!

Most Inspirational Moment

The cycling ride in the countryside, Sigiriya's visit and the hotel where we decided to have a massage treatment in the fantastic hotel we stayed in, the farm visit where we had breakfast and played games.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Caring, funny, able to manage a large group as well as relate to individuals, great at communicating itinerary, efficient in organising arrivals and departure, sense of pride for hos country and his work.

Borneo and the Malaysian Peninsula

Our two guides were very good, Beverley in Borneo and James on the Peninsula. James in particular shared a wealth of information about the country, went out of his way to show us interesting sights and introduced us to great food. The hotels were very good and internal transport comfortable. We were also very lucky to have a small very congenial group of travellers.

Most Inspirational Moment

Borneo and especially the day on the river where we saw orangutans in the wild and lots of other animals and birds. The Orangutang sanctuary was wonderful too but seeing these animals in the wild was a special treat.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both were very good but James was exceptional. He added things to the itinerary, introduced us to local food in his favourite restaurants, socialised with the group, and organised everything perfectly. He put the well being of the group above and could not have been a better person to have a tour leader.
