this was my first walking holiday. Every aspect of the trip was very well planned and highly organised. I felt very welcomed at the airport at Bilbao by our guide Alvaro. He proved to be such a fantastic guide.,.. knowledge, passionate, considerate. Hotel was basic but food was fantastic
I will recommend this trip to anyone.
Walking in the George
Fantastic... could not fault him in anything. He knew the area and the paths very well. He adapted and catered for every level of group participants. He was passionate about the area and had lots of general knowledge about the area and people. His English was good. PERFECT!!!
Yes, this walk has been classified as 3 but it is at least grade 5. So they should be made aware of this
A great trip, which opens the eyes and the mind to the achievement that is the great wall. Hard work but gratifying. There is no other way to put it into context other than to “climb” and see for yourself.
To see the magnitude of the structure and try to imagine the difficulty of the construction at the time, all by hand, cannot be anything but inspirational.

Beautiful scenery, interesting country, real contrast between the mountainous interior and scenic coastline, lovely food, great weather and lovely friendly people – both locals and in our group. This was definitely a trip worth taking.
Cycling was good and like many other reviewers,we thought this was more challenging than its current grading.
We couldn’t believe how little we spent over the week – though to be honest there wasn’t much to buy, other than the essentials.
I wouldn't say inspirational but waking up on day 1 to find we'd arrived at a stunning lakeside location the night before was a great start to a week that just got better. The guest house stay was a lovely setting at the end of a beautiful but challenging ride on day 1. The final ride over the Llogara pass in temperatures of 33 degrees was - er character building.....
Very good, well organized, calm and friendly - looked after us well.
Prepare for the challenges of the riding - I don't remember any days that didn't include climbing ( though not particularly steep), but some had more than others - much more enjoyable if you're prepared for that. If you struggle with high temperatures, then earlier or later in the season might be better - June was very hot.
The trip was particularly well organised and our guide Michael was brilliant, a consumate all rounder. Its challenging running the trip for a group of 16 on your own but Michael showed a very high degree of regard for everyone, and went above and beyond the job description. Making the group feel like a group and supporting everyone to get the most out of the experience. Michael is definitely one of the best Exodus guides we have encountered so far. Lovely guy, great temperament
Michael laid on early morning rides for those who wanted them and these were amazing. The world is a different place at 6am and the rides were both challenging and exhilarating. I will never forget riding up a steep hill outside Trento, the numerous turns of the "Salita Charly Gaul" on the Monte Condone, 50 minutes climbing and 8 minutes descending... fabulous
Michael is one one of the kindest and most sincere individuals I have met. He loves cycling and loves his job. He deals with problems and looks after everyone. He certainly goes the extra mile arranging celebrations for birthdays and helping out when unexpected things occur, like problems booking hotels at the end of the holiday.
This is a great ride and you will enjoy the experience, the food and the company
this was such a good trip – different experiences the whole time and everything seem to fit together like clockwork
I think camping out in the Delta was the best for me - real camping under the stars with the animal sounds - hippos and lions!

What a great trip. This was my fourth with Exodus and the best. Our guide Jef was amazing. He looked after everyone so well, great briefings, daily wrap ups and biology lessons along the way! Our chief cook, luggage mover and tent man Andy was great too, the meals he turned out of his little camp kitchen were outstanding.
The scenery is breathtaking, the walking takes solid effort so make sure you read your trip notes before you leave and train accordingly!
Loved the whole trip. Great views, lovely new friends and a real sense of achievement at the end.

Read your trip notes! We had one very underdone person on our trip who got through only through the encouragement of the leader and other members of the group.
This trip was everything as advertised and more. It was a challenging hike on some days, but the views were worth the effort.
The final day while sitting in the chalet at the top of the mountain sipping hot chocolate and being serenaded by a young lad with a guitar.
Kim was a great leader and was very responsive to each individual's quirks.
Refer to the trip notes for what to pack. It is very accurate and while a fleece may seem not to be needed when the weather is sunny and warm it proved to worn when the weather turned to cold and snow - in July!

Aguille Di Midi
Jenny was a very knowledgeable and personable guide who conveyed her appreciation and passion for the region well.
Don't miss the opportunity to do the Aguille di Midi cable car gondola ride between France and Italy on the free day. It's amazing.
What an amazing country. Friendly people, happy to see tourists and very helpful. Great way to see the real Cuba by passing through small villages. I was impressed with how patient the drivers are, waiting for clear road before passing us even when it meant they had to stop. Wonderful cars, of course. Great tour guide, drivers and a fantastic group of fellow travelers.
The camaraderie and support of my group, especially when someone was not feeling well or when the hills became too much in the heat. Thanks everyone. Swimming behind the waterfall in Trinidad, taking Salsa lessons and the fun trying to dance it later, first swim in the Caribbean, seeing an old fire engine towing another old fire engine, and so much more. Lots of children trying out their English as we cycled past them.
Lazaro was brilliant. His knowledge and passion for Cuba was obvious and he shared it with enthusiasm. He spoke brilliant English and was kind,funny,helpful and patient.
Take padded bike shorts, the roads are not in good repair. Put in some hours on your bike to tune your bum into hours/days of cycling.
A wonderfully organized tour in a spot with stunning scenery and fabulous food.
I think it was walking around the crater of Vesuvius and going down into the crater. Our local guide was so passionate and interesting that made it that much better.
Tina was fantastic. Well organized, fun and upbeat. She was new to this area so didn't have an expanse of local in depth knowledge but if we did ask questions she always made sure to find out and come back to us with the answers. She went out of her way to help with the arrangements of our free day and also we took a different way back to Naples when the tour was over and she put us in touch with the right person to look after that.
If it's rainy you would definitely want some sturdy light hikers. They don't need to be over the ankle but having really good traction is key as there is lots of loose rock and bigger steps. I had poles with me on Vesuvius as did my friend and we were so glad for that as it was no problem for us while others struggled. I also had poles on the Mont Tre Calle hike and was glad but I didn't take them on the other days.
