We had a fantastic guide, really good accommodation and excellent tours.
There were so many highlights. We enjoyed the elephant Park followed by the optional Safari. I enjoyed swimming in a tidal pool as well as a waterfall pool. Feeding the ostriches will keep me laughing for a long time. We had sea views in two hotels, which was Just great. The exchange rate made our money go a long way so we did some things that we might have found too expensive in another country.
Marco needs an award for the best tour leader. He was always punctual, informative, helpful, polite and an all-round fantastic human being.
The tour was fantastic, great group of people. The tour guide Mak went above and beyond our expectations. He was informative, fun, caring and gave us a real insight into the culture, people and had a vast knowledge of each place we visited. He went out of his way to make my birthday special whilst we were on the trip, and always ensured we were organised and happy. Fantastic trip all round.
The bicycle ride and lunch with the family was fantastic.
Mak was fantastic. He is a great asset to Exodus, knowledgeable, caring, funny and so passionate about sharing his country and vast knowledge with us. He made a great trip so memorable. We cannot thank him enough for his contribution to our holiday.
Our guide Mnfred Cyrman was great, the itinery was very interesting and well thought out with a perfect balance of group activity and personal time for relaxation. All of the food and accomodations were great, and the transport bus and driver were also great.
Just experiencing "Pura Vida", especially swimming in the rivers and waterfalls. We also all enjoyed visiting "Dona Leila" in her traditional house for a meal in the rivera region, and the experience near La Fortuna with a family gathering herbs and cooking a meal. Of course that should not be every night because the restaurants were ver good too and you don't want to be making your own meal, but the variety is what was good.
Great trip all around!
Birds, frogs, other animals/wildlife, scenery, learning about Costa Rica, making friends with my fellow tourmates, benefiting from the extensive knowledge of our guide, and mostly great food.
He is absolutely professional and extremely well-informed. He is polite but not "warm" per se, and he can sometimes seem a bit bossy, but I think it's because he wants everything to go according to plan.
This itinerary was fantastic! Loved the fun activities, knowledgeable and passionate guide, great hotels & vehicles. Saw loads of wildlife in such a small amount of time.
The night walk - amazing to see so much wildlife in the rainforest at night
Alejandro was very considerate of everyone's needs in the group. He was so knowledgeable - It was fascinating learning about Costa Rican culture and history. Also great at spotting wildlife on drives so there were plenty of photo stops.
The accommodation throughout was excellent. A big difference from my first trip with Exodus. And our guide Raht was brilliant. Very knowkedgeable, well organised, providing daily info on what to expect the next day, and going above and beyond in making sure we had the best experience in her country. A lovely lovely person and she has restored my faith in Exodus after my first trip.
The Elephant Sanctuary and spending time with these majestic animals. Also Sukhothai Historical Park - beautiful sites and so peaceful. Definitely a hidden gem.
An excellent leader throughout. Very knowledgeable, helpful and couldn't do enough! She wanted to make sure we experienced everything Thailand had to offer, supporting in booking local restaurants, additional activities during free time and even buying us snacks for the long coach journeys! One of the best guides I've ever had on a group tour!
Very well organised from initial booking then throughout the tour including departure. A very varied itinerary. Comfortable travel and a very knowledgeable leader with great support from his team.
Dambulla caves, both Safaris, it was hard to identify highlights as it was all so enjoyable. The vast amount of animal and bird life on the island, company of the group and the knowledge and personality of our leader.
Danu was so organised without being rigid. He was friendly and obliging and generous with his time with our group. His knowledge of his country was incredible and he is obviously very proud to be Sri Lankan. His knowledge of the history and especially its bird life was amazing. He imparted this knowledge by telling us stories in instalments and we were always eager to hear the next one. Danu tirelessly answered all our questions and if on the odd occasion he didn't know the answer he would find out for us. Nothing was too much trouble, he worked very hard throughout the trip and was great fun to be with.
