Most Inspirational Moment
Path of the Gods was absolutely amazing. The terrain was more what I was expecting in a hiking tour.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was friendly, but not always helpful. We mentioned that the packed lunch (consisting of meat and cheese) every day was in our backpacks for at least 3-4 hours without being kept cool in the hot sun, and he did not seem concerned.
Advice for Potential Travellers
While this was my first trip abroad in over 20 years, I did enjoy it. There were points about the hotel that you need to be aware of (annoying barking dog that seemed to come in every dinner, never any lounge chairs available as towels seemed to sit on them all day with no people, packed lunch consisted of a (massive) bun with meat and cheese with no cooling. Make no mistake of the stairs - they were a TON of them). Be aware (as I wasn't) Italy has no toilet seats, public restrooms were not pleasant (didn't appear they were maintained), and everything is expensive. If you can avoid it, do not go in the summer months - absolutely ridiculous amount of people.

We’d like to thank Anne for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about her Walking the Amalfi Coast holiday. We’re delighted to hear that she enjoyed the spectacular scenery, history and culture of the region, and that the iconic Path of the Gods proved to be a particular highlight of the trip.
While this itinerary is graded Activity Level 2 (Easy & Moderate), our trip notes do highlight that participants should be prepared for considerable sections of steps, often exceeding 1,500 per day, along with steep ascents and descents on uneven terrain. We appreciate that Anne found the walking more demanding than anticipated, and her comments serve as a helpful reminder to future travellers of the physical nature of exploring the Amalfi Coast.
We also recognise Anne’s disappointment regarding the daily transfer times, the summer heat, and the comfort of the vehicle. Owing to the geography of the region, some travel is required to access the varied walking routes and cultural highlights that make this destination so special, but we understand that this can impact the pace of the day. Likewise, we appreciate that personal preferences vary when it comes to balancing guided activities and free time, and we’re sorry that Anne would have preferred a more structured itinerary in this respect.
We’d like to thank Anne for sharing both the positives and the areas where she feels improvements could be made. We’re pleased that, despite some frustrations, she enjoyed many aspects of her trip, and we hope the stunning views and unforgettable walking experiences along the Amalfi Coast remain lasting memories.
