Everything you want from a cycling trip!

The perfect balance of a fairly challenging two weeks of cycling, varied scenery, activities out of the saddle that are just as good as those in it, and a beach ending that is the cherry on top! Who doesn’t want to spend their rest day searching for tigers & elephants in Bandipur National Park? Our leader, Safi, had 15 years experience and his local knowledge made sure we saw the real heart of India. I would go and do this very trip again and I don’t think I’ve ever said that about a trip. 10 stars!

Amazing trip!

Just returned from walking the highlights of Mount Blanc! There was a variety of hikes and all had great views. Our guide and chalet hosts were very knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome!

Bhutan - land of fairy tales

It’s hard to believe that this time last week I was climbing an epic Himalayan cliffside staircase on the Bhutan pilgrimage to Tiger’s Next Monastery!
This amazing trip also visited the annual Thimphu festival where we watched the colourful dancing monks, it flew me over Everest and the 5 highest peaks in the world (sightings are weather dependent), and took me inside one of Asia’s largest golden Buddha statues to view 125 000 mini golden Buddhas.

Most Inspirational Moment

A day spent climbing epic Himalayan staircases on the Bhutan pilgrimage took us through the rain forest, past thundering waterfalls, and on to the sacred Tiger's Nest Monastery perched on a cliff overlooking the Thimphu valley. Here, we spent time reflecting on our journey and had the option of receiving a blessing from the local temple monk. The extraordinary beauty of this ancient, intricately carved temple in its peaceful mountain surroundings is difficult to accurately capture in words.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Kind, patient and gentle, our guides Kinley and Kimey, went out of their way to make every day of our trip enjoyable. Always smartly dressed in traditional Bhutanese dress, they conveyed a strong passion for their beautiful country, a deep love and understanding of the Buddhist faith, and a humble pride in Bhutan's belief in sustainable policies. During one day of our tour heavy rains flooded the bridge that led from our lodge to the main road and village. Our guides went out of their way to make the most of the situation, taking us to a local monastery off the usual tourist beat that the monks had lit with candles due to a flooding-related power failure. Sitting cross-legged on the floor, admiring the rich colours of the tapestries and statues in the flickering candlelight, we sat cross-legged on the floor listening to stories of Buddha's life, while the rain fell steadily outside. That evening Kinley and Kim surprised us with a birthday party for one of our group members. Responding to how they'd manage to arrange a special birthday cake during the flooding, Kimey explained that he'd walked to the flooded bridge, waited on the side of the road until a truck large enough to cross had arrived, caught a lift across, walked to the village, picked up the pre-ordered cake, walked back to the bridge and waited for another lift to get back to the lodge with the cake. Such dedication made the celebration extra special for our group.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Long sleeves must be worn in temples but it can get quite warm during the day so wear a t-shirt and pack a light-weight long sleeve top to wear while at the temple. Wear long trousers or skirts. Shorts are discouraged. Pack waterproof walking shoes for the Himalayan hikes as it can be muddy. A raincoat is also recomended for days spent in the mountains. Trekking poles are recommended for the Tiger's Nest Monastery but if you don't want to carry one in your suitcase you can purchase a carved wooden walking stick at the start point for the hike. Locals wear their best clothes to the festivals and it encouraged that visitors also dress up. Bring a smart collared long-sleeve shirt and long skirt or trousers. Alternatively Exodus can lend you a traditional Bhutanese outfit to wear for the day. Our whole group opted to wear traditional dress which the locals at the festival really appreciated.

Porto to Lisbon Oct 2025

Most Inspirational Moment

Biking along the rugged Atlantic Coast and the beautiful beach towns.

João was awesome!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Enjoy the pace and take in all the incredible scenery.

Amazing Adventure

This trip exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The proximity to the wildlife was extraordinary, the range of wildlife was exceptional and the entire experience is unforgettable. The trip was enhanced by the outstanding nature of our group leader, Brian, and the support team, Brighton, Timoth and Moeti. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the team. The trip is tough, early starts, lots of dust and bumpy roads but the rewards make all of this worthwhile and part of the experience.

Most Inspirational Moment

It is impossible to identify one specific moment as the highlight of the trip. Seeing numerous cheetahs in one day, seeing a leopard stalk its prey, seeing a Kori Bustard take off, seeing 6 lion cubs walking nose to tail. Away from the wildlife, Victoria Falls is one of the most magnificent sights we have ever seen.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our Group Leader was big friendly Brian who was always full of joy and happiness. His in-depth knowledge of Botswana, its fauna and flora was beyond belief. His driving was safe and careful and he always seemed to find the best spots to observe the animals and take photographs.

Advice for Potential Travellers

It is not possible to overstate how dusty and dirty you become travelling on dirt roads in an open sided truck in September. However, bush showers are available which washes most of the dirt and dust off! You wont need as many clothes as you think and you can have laundry done at Maun and Victoria Falls. It does get cool in the middle of the night so sleeping bags are advisable. You do need to be reasonably mobile in order to enter and exit the rear of the truck. Mobile phone service is virtually non existent even with a Botswanan SIM except in Maun.

The scenery was beautiful

Yannis was a great tour leader. Very cheerful, friendly, efficient and responsive to situations.
Most Inspirational Moment

The scenery was beautiful and green. Some of the towns/cities were historic, attractive and interesting. The Bayeux tapestry was amazing.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Yannis was a cheerful and highly competent leader.

DISCOVER THE BALTICS

Baltis is a gem!!!!
3 countries in 12 days with fairytale old towns, culture, the music soul of the people, these countries have rich cultural traditions, centuries old folklore, song festivals of voices and UNESCO listed historic centers.
All the medieval towers and coloful facades walking through them feel likes stepping back in time.
Baltics offer untouched landscapes perfect for breathing fresh air from endless pine forest and serene lakes to the largest sand dune in Europe, the Curonian Spit.

Most Inspirational Moment

When we visited the Hill of Crosses and saw everyone leaving their petitions, hopes, or wishes, hoping they would come true, it made me realize that so many of us were sharing that trip, each carrying our own vulnerable situations. It was a truly moving moment.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Andrew made the Baltics come alive for us!!!! Guiding us through history, culture, and hidden gems with passion and care, he really loves what he does. A huge thanks to Andrew, who not only showed us the best of Baltics but also made the entire trip fun and unforgettable!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Bring cash for small markets or rural stops, weather changes quickly even in summer, Umbrella and Comfy shoes are musts, this trip includes cobblestone streets, stairs, long walks with may be challenging for those with limited mobility, even though it’s a category level 1"Walking Tour", there’s a lot of walking around 10,000 to 17,000 steps a day and an approximate budget of 50–65 euros per day for meals. Lunch (based on the restaurants we visited) ranges between 20–35 euros including a drink (soda, water, juice, or a beer; wine increases the daily cost). Dinner is roughly the same amount, sometimes even more.

Costa rica

The guide was amazing, the food and hotel were really good. I was expecting to hike in the forest and mountains but it was more of a bird watching tour. So it was zero walking and lots and lots of bird watching standing still for long periods of time. It was not what i was looking for.

Most Inspirational Moment

I love the boat rides in tortuguero and the zipline in monte verde

Thoughts on Group Leader

Really good, nice and a real encyclopedia

Advice for Potential Travellers

Don't do this tour if you want to hike. But if you like birds this is for you

An Italian E-Bike Experience to Remember!

This e-bike trip with Exodus was absolutely incredible. Riding from the Adriatic to the Tyrrhenian coast offered stunning views, charming villages, and amazing local food. The e-bikes made the hills manageable and fun, and our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and super organized. Everything from accommodations to luggage transfers ran smoothly. A perfect blend of adventure, culture, and comfort. Highly recommend!

Cycle the Loire Valley

Great tour guide, Ruben, made the trip really great.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Really enthusiastic and loved his job, and it showed. He booked some amazing local restaurants, with excellent food. Nothing was too much trouble for Ruben.
