Cycling Laos

Hi there, I'm on the March departure for Cycling in Laos. Is there anyone else on this forum signed up for the same trip?

Hi, my friend Terry and I are on the trip. We are both recently retired GPs and have done several Exodus trips before. First time to Laos though, looking forward to it

Hi Chris (and Terry) - nice to hear from you. Like you I'm a bit of an Exodus veteran, not been to Laos yet though, but it sounds as if it's going to be a wonderful adventure. I look forward to meeting you both in Chiang Mai (am flying out a week early)!

Hi not doing this trip till november but would appreciate some feedback.Have done Myanmar and Sri Lanka with EXODUS.Guides in both tours excellent and especially so with freedom in choosing restaruants and not those so called recommended eateries.Hoping for a better trip as crashed a couple of times in Myanmar A couple of docs would have been handy at the time.

My husband and I are also going to Laos in March (5th). I see that there are two trips in March so I don't know if we are all on the same one. We have have also done 3 other Exodus cycling trips, all have which have been great! I am looking forward to cycling through wonderful scenery, although I am not so sure about the hills. I cycle everyday to work but hills are an unknown entity here as we live in the Netherlands!

Hi, my husband and I are newbies! We have never done anything like this before and never travelled with Exodus. We are looking forward to the experience and would be grateful if anyone has any tips they can offer. We are currently working on increasing our fitness but the weather is very much against us.

Exodus does the cycling really well cant say enough about theground crews .I have cycled Sri Lanka and Burma with them.Arrived for Sri Lanka ill (virus meds had diretic component)made things worse.Doc was on trip he and crew got me thru first week.Burma two crashes one with a crazed pedestrian and later an errant motor cycle (just bad luck)Guide and Mechanic were great and I was able to ride on.Tip is own little medical kit which I forgot and left at home.I would ensure some spray on skin or the like just in case of small grazes etc unlikely to be needed but handy. One of the girls lent me some Males need something to cove r knees if going into temples Dont expect the Ritz with accomadation Sadly some tourists dont pay heed to local customs and rules eg those in big tourist buses.l
LOOK me up November when u get back as feed back would be valuable
