Inca trail and Amazon rainforest

We leave Wed 18/9 and just wondering who else is going on this exciting trip

I'm doing what sounds like the same trip but departing from London on 20th September.

Hi I am doing the Inca and Amazon in September and was hoping to see if there are any other single ladies/Men doing this trip? I arrive on 20th in to Lima on the direct BA flight and am staying at El Tambo Hotel the night of the 20th Sep. Be good to connect with other travellers.

Hi Francesca, I will be on this trip too so I hope to see you at El Tambo on the morning of 21st as I am flying on the organised flight from Heathrow the night of 20th.  I must get training some more ... need to practise more steps lol.

Nice to meet you, have you done anything like this before?

Im just starting to buy and hire the kit list now. There is quite alot!

I need to start practising those steps I have just read there is 2km of step on one of the days!!

Exodus have confirmed there are 10 in our group which is a really nice size I think.

Can I ask are you taking Diamox for Altitude sickness?

This is my first trip of this kind . At 55 I thought I'd better do it while I still feel fit enough. Lol.

I think I have everything on the kit list now but need to practise packing as it seems far too much . I'm going to pack the exodus bag inside my suitcase and fill it as we need it. I dont really know how it works...do we pack a few days things inside it for each section  of the trip then leave the rest behind?

I haven't really considered taking Diamox ...I heard side effects are not nice. I might ask my doctor about it . The advice I read was to take the trail really slowly and not use too much oxygen and that's supposed to keep it at bay. Who knows. I hear some people get Altitude sickness on Ben Nevis . Hopefully it wont happen to us.

Looking forward to it all but also quite nervous about managing it!
