Itinerary Expand all Swansea to Swansea Day 1 Start Swansea The trip starts this afternoon at our accommodation in Swansea. After checking in (check in at the hotel is from 3pm), you will meet (approximately at 5pm) with other group members and your leader who will conduct a welcome meeting and will run through a bike and kit check. This evening, enjoy an included welcome dinner together. Marriott Swansea or similar Meals included: Dinner Day 2 Ride from Swansea through Gower Peninsula AONB to Llangennith It’s time to spin the legs and begin your adventure, leaving the city behind to head for the coast. Discover the beautiful interior of the Gower Peninsula AONB, arriving at the coast at Rhossili, famed for the Worm’s Head rock formation. We then continue on to end your day in the village of Llangennith where we stay overnight. The Kings Head Inn, Llangennith or similar Meals included: Breakfast Day 3 Cycle along the coast; the wetland conservation area of Llanelli, across the River Towy to St Clears From Llangennith, the route heads across the River Loughor and along the coast. Ride through the wetland conservation area of Llanelli, across the River Towy to arrive at your overnight stay in St Clears. Llety Cynin, St Clears or similar Meals included: Breakfast Dinner Day 4 Ride the coastal path to charming Saundersfoot After breakfast, we depart St Clears, from where the route heads back toward the coast. Follow the scenic coastal path to the charming seaside village of Saundersfoot. The Gower Hotel or similar Meals included: Breakfast Day 5 Cycle the coast onto Pembroke Today you head out along the coast, passing through the iconic beach village of Freshwater East and the famous rock formations at Elegug Stacks. The route continues past Freshwater West and the stone circle at Devil’s Quoit, before reaching Pembroke. Coach House Hotel, Pembroke or similar Meals included: Breakfast Day 6 Final ride to the delightful St Davids The final leg of journey takes you through farmland and villages to Haverford West, from where the route returns to the coast. From Broad Haven the route follows the coast along Newgale Sands before arriving at your final destination of St Davids, the smallest city in Britain and the final resting place of Wale's patron saint! St Davids Cross Hotel, St Davids or similar Meals included: Breakfast Day 7 Transfer to Swansea; end of trip After breakfast, we depart St. Davids and transfer 1.5 hours back to Swansea (arriving approx. 12 noon) where upon arrival our trip ends. Ride the South Wales Coast Throughout the week, you will spend 6 nights in generally locally owned, family-run hotels, Inns and guesthouses. The accommodations have been selected for their charm, character and offer a comfortable stay. All accommodations is en suite.
