Hi, Although its only 9 days you pack a lot in and visit lots of different places. The flight's not bad at all and it seems much longer when yu are there. When I went the ages ranged from 28 to 80 and everyong got on really well. The average age was about 50. The only thing is if you want to go out in the evenings to Salsa Cluba and Dancing etc you are better off with a younger group as couples aren't usually keen on going out in th evening. You could always check the age group of the other people first. But the trip is great.
Hello all, I'm seriously considering booking this trip. I've never been on an Exodus tour so I'm keen to see what its all about. I know it can be a little wet in Cuba in June but I'm hoping there will still be plenty of sunshine. I love a good cocktail and I'm willing to give the salsa-ing a go! Bit apprehensive about going on a holiday on my own (for the first time) but its reassuring to hear others have had good experiences.
New to all this and know very little about Cuba. Just want to go before it becomes commercially ruined.
Don't know what to expect so I really will be "learning on the hoof" so to speak. ANy tips or advice is therefore welcome.
I did the Exodus Cycle Cuba trip in March . . . it was absolutely amazing!
Exodus organised the trip very well, our guide and our two support vehicle drivers were wonderful people and the other members of the group were all wonderful people too.
But the best people were the Cuban people. They have a hard life but they are incredibly friendly and they have wonderful smiles on their beautiful faces. The whole island is awash with history and culture, sunshine and music, rum and salsa.
My advice is go there but go there with an open mind and be prepared for the fact that not everything is perfect. You'll have a wonderful time and those little imperfections will make your trip absolutely perfect.
Hi all, I have a keen interest in Cuba and although bias I would definately book the hols you are looking at. Exodus is an exceptional company to go through, having cycled Vietnam and Cuba with them.
Cuba as Terry says is a country where you must maintain an open mind and patience...that said I am sure you will all have a great time whatever trip you decide.
Cycling 9 days obvioulsy shorter I think the 15 days is the best, you get to see more and do more and you will never be bored.
So get your salsa dancing shoes on and go for it... I'm looking at Isla Grande or Kerala for this years travels (Christmas time) and they will be through Exodus... to take advantage of my 5% off!! :)
