A fascinating exploration of snow-capped mountains, coffee plantations, laid-back beaches and colonial history

One of South America's most beautiful and interesting countries, Colombia is still largely undiscovered despite its amazing variety of landscapes, sights and cultures.
On this diverse two-week trip we experience the contrasts between the lively and cosmpolitan capital, Bogota, the atmospheric cobbled streets and well-preserved colonial buildings of Cartagena, and the laid-back and welcoming countryside. We walk at high altitude amongst the snowy peaks of Los Nevados National Park, explore the rolling hills of the central Coffee Zone, as well as taking time out to relax in hammocks near the superb Caribbean beaches of Tayrona National Park.
What makes this trip responsible?
On this trip we use local tour leaders and stay in small, locally owned hotels to provide maximum benefits to the communities we visit. We visit two national parks, and the entrance fees go directly to improving the park infrastructure as well as protecting the delicate environments of Los Nevados and Tayrona.
