“As cheaper flights have opened up the farthest-flung corners of the world, it’s become easy to forget (or dismiss) what we have in our own backyard. But Europe is packed with the very ingredients we travel the globe for: romance, adventure, contrast, drama. My trip to Romania with Exodus involved only a three-hour flight, but it introduced me to landscapes and cultures I thought had long disappeared, as well as one of the most thrilling animal encounters I’ve ever had: watching a dozen brown bears from a hide deep in the Carpathian mountains. Now there’s a backyard worth exploring.”

This was our first time in India and we wanted a trip that gave us a flavour of the country, we certainly felt like it delivered that.
There was quite a bit of traveling between places either on a coach or trains, but this gave us an opportunity to see he landscape along the way, or rest. The coach was comfortable and air conditioned, the trains far exceeded our expectations,
travelling in the executive class carriage, there was plenty of leg room with food served on board.

Ajay our guide was excellent, everything ran smoothly, he was well informed and sorted out any minor issues quickly, he had a great sense of humour and we had some real laughs with him.

The places we ate at were all very good, and as far as I know no one got ‘dellybelly’.

There are some very early starts but they were necessary to see particular things like a flower market or the early morning boat trip on the Ganges.

If you want to see a lot in a short space of time then this is a great trip to go on.

Sri Lanka is a magical country that over-delivered against every expectation we had before embarking on our adventure. The trip itself includes a huge range of inspiring activities. Some are big, some are just the little in-between moments, but all have their own magic. I genuinely can’t think of a moment we didn’t really enjoy.

It’s a country with a fairly recent challenging history, and we learned on our holiday that some of those challenges haven’t gone away. Despite this, the country exudes happiness. Our excellent guide, Roshan, told us this was simply because the one thing Sri Lankans have is time. I don’t really buy that. I just think it’s culturally ingrained.

Essential Turkey was a great tour. Started in Istanbul, a fascinating
City. Got to see a lot of the famous ancient sites on our trip. Relaxed in a small town on the Mediterranean and experienced a balloon ride over the amazing landscape of Cappadocia . The tour is jam packed! Great group of people which totally added to the trip.
