I am keen on the natural world, fascinated by large carnivores – walking and sharing their world was the reason for booking. The spectacular mountain ranges are wild and empty of people. I enjoyed the fact that each day had a different emphasis and the lack of rest day enabled us to really make the most of our surroundings. Relaxing drinks on the patio, a feast of local delights and the company of likeminded, funny and interesting folk was a great end to each day.
I’d love to return in the autumn , but the wildflowers and butterflies were superb.

Galapagos Islands Holidays
Darwin found inspiration for his groundbreaking book ‘The Origin of Species’ in the Galapagos Islands. On this isolated tropical archipelago, almost 1000km off mainland Ecuador, he discovered wildlife present nowhere else on Earth; today, Galapagos Islands tours will still astonish nature and wildlife lovers. The volcanic islands are considered to be a living laboratory by scientists and represent one of the most pristine yet fragile areas in the world. This enchanting environment is characterised by stark lava fields, cactus forests, volcanic craters, mangrove lagoons and turquoise waters.
Without a doubt, the highlight of Galapagos Islands holidays is the incredible wildlife. With very few external predators and limited human interference, the species that inhabit the Galapagos have always shown a near-fearless attitude to man. Close encounters are assured and we may find ourselves stepping over snoozing Sea lions and iguanas or watching up close the courting rituals of Blue-footed boobies, albatross or frigatebirds. A mask and snorkel will reveal an exciting underworld – turtles, sharks, rays and colourful reef fish are abundant and Sea lions love to come and play!

Gillian Foxcroft Hike Bulgaria's Rodopi Mountains
Tom aragon Highlights of the Amalfi CoastThe excursions were fun. I enjoyed all the people in our group. Food was good and plentiful. The family that runs the hotel did not seem very friendly. The sister in-law of one of the brothers was very annoying, when she speaks she screams. The family always ate next us in the dining room, she was horrible, our guide even asked her to pipe down. The staff was fantastic. Nice grounds but barely a 3 star.
Alexander Gordon Hike Bulgaria's Rodopi MountainsI thought this was an excellent week, with beautiful walks in spectacular scenery and almost no other hikers; fantastic flora and the excellent guide explained lots about the wildlife and history of the region which I hadn’t known much about. The local staff were very hospitable and it’s hard to see how the week could have been much better
