wildlife and wetlands

Hi

This is both for those going and those who have gone before.

What I'd really appreciate is advice on what to take. For instance a down or synthetic sleeping bag? I know it's going to be wet (=synthetic) but down is better. And shoes....

And the small stuff I wouldn't usually consider, like tweezers; small screwdrivers for fixing your glasses and so on (lessons learnt from previous holidays).

Any other advice for a novice (I've not been on this type of trip before)?

Hi, I'm going in September (my 1st time doing anything like this too), if anyone can give a list of essentials it would be really helpful.

Looks like you're just going to have to do a review when you get back Tony, let me know what to expect!

When are you going,Tony?  I'm on the 7/8/08 departure.

Things to take: wet wipes (preferably biodegradable).  Small plastic bags for rubbish and storage.  Duct tape.  Pack towels (ie the ones that look like shammy leathers) to save space.  Plasters, immodium and germolene.  Flip-flops are easy to put on in the night.  Head torch.  Loo roll.

excellent - thank you. I have most (but not all) of those. Duck tape is an inspiration. good call. see you on the 7th.
