Contact Lenses at Altitude/Cold

Does anyone have any advice for a contact lens wearer?  Will be camping at altitude and with presumably pretty cold nights and wondered if my lenses will freeze overnight?  (need to keep upright in their case, so can't really put in sleeping bag).

Also, are there any specific altitude issues with wearing contact lenses?

I wear soft contact lenses and have been at altitude in both Tibet and Peru (though not maybe as high as you will be going) and did not experience any problems in either place.  Also on the Tibet trip we were stranded in snow for a few days and although indoors it was below freezing and the lotion did not freeze.  You might want to consider in wraping the case in a thermal layer of its own (should be easy enough to make with a piece of  flannel . Hopes this helps and have a fab time

Thanks, will have a practice wrapping up an old pair and put them in freezer!

I'm also wearing contact lenses. When I'm trekking for long, I choose wearing "night and day" lenses. I was 2 times over 5400 m high and had absolutely no problem
