Is anyone going on this trip

This trip is my retirement present to myself.

Apologies. I meant 14th February 2011. Keyboard playing up???

not what i will be askind santa for!!

i'm going up with a friend for charity - totally unprepared!!

Hi Katherine ( I presume)

Pleased to hear that someone else is on this trip. You have a couple of months to get prepared for the trek. Which charity are you completing the walk for?

I live in Dorset, so have a few hills to practise on.

Hi everyone

Myself and Neil are doing the trip too - raising money for the East Anglian Ambulance Service. I did the same route 3 years ago and got to Hans Meyer Caves - will definitely reach the top this time! Neil's first time and doing it for his 40th birthday. Look forward to seeing you all there! Not much in the way of training opportunities in East Anglia though!!!

Hi Alison and Neil

Where in East Anglia are you from? I am originally from East Dereham, but arrived in Dorset via a elongated route involving Australia and Canada.

We live in haverhill, suffolk and i work in cambridge.

hi guys, we're joining you from ayrshire & trekking for leukaemia reasearch & clic sargent.

looking forward to it now :)

off shopping for trip today, see you all soon

4 weeks to go and counting! Just tried packing our bags - wow - lots of gear!!!

I am now fully retired. Have just over 3 weeks to brush up my fitness.

Is everyone else flying out with Exodus. I am flying out on 9th February to visit a school on the slopes of Kili my wife's school in Dorset sponsors before meeting up with you in Marangu.

Yes - we fly out on Feb 13th. Have a good trip and see you there!

I wonder who else is going on this trip, as there are still 3 vacancies. There seems to have been only 5 people posting on the forum, including me; that leaves 4 more people travelling, assuming a mazimum of 12 in the party.

I will make my first attempt at packing my rucksack over the weekend.  How is everyone else going with training and keeping the luggage weight down?

We have packed and unpacked a few times now! Seem to be well within the weight limit but haven't included snacks yet - Neil seems to have a few kilos of goodies sitting on the kitchen table! Would be great to hear from anyone else joining us next week! As for training.........!
