Anyone else consumed by Wanderlust

Hi, to all and anyone who's going to Vietnam in March. I'm Chris.

It's been a long time coming for me, I booked up nearly 12 months ago and I can't wait to get going.

See you soon, whoever you are.

I'm going from 15th to 29th March. First time for me. Very excited. Is that the same one as you or are there a few in March?

Hey Hi. Yes it would seem we are on the same trip. I'm very excited and keen to get going now.

I don't think its the same trip Chris, I'm on Vietnam Adventure and I think you posted that yours was Highlights of Vietnam? Not long to go now though. :-)

After what seems like an eternity since we booked it we are both very excited to get going.  We will be joining you from a short stopover in Hong Kong for the Highlights at Vietnam trip starting 15 March.  Just reading through all the trip notes and making a shopping list!

We were about to fly out tomorrow afternoon, but with the new entry regulations effective now, Germans and Brits and Italians and a few others do not get any tourist visa at all any longer. So we (three pax) had to cancel the whole thing. It's a disaster. Anybody else affected, too?! We are still wondering how exodus will handle the situation. To all those that fortunately enough already are in Vietnam: enjoy the trip!!!

Having changed our plans from Hong Kong to Thailand we have already left.  We are currently sat by the pool waiting to hear what is happening.  I have every faith in Exodus and Fllight Centre that they will sort something out.

Last year I was hit by a car. I promised myself that if I could walk again I was going to booking a trip to Vietnam. After operations to put rods and screws in my spine and the assurance of the Dr that I would recover, I booked the trip from my hospital bed and set myself a target.

To be told on Monday to apply for a visa and to be told on Tuesday that the trip is cancelled is very disapointing. I'm a reasonanable man and truth be told I was expecting it to be cancelled but the closer the departure date got the more hope I had.

Oh well, I shall re book once this virus all settles down.

I hope Exodus get everything sorted for you Iain, do you best to enjoy whatever is to come.

I am really very sorry for all of us that this trip had to be cancelled. It would have been great fun to share all these winderful things with all of you. But I am sure we'll be able to do that somewhen later... fingers crossed.

I finally wanted to end this thread with airing my greatest possible appreciation for how professionally and open-minded exodus managed and handled this whole chaos and nightmare. For them as well as (esopacially) for themselves. Chapeau, as we say in Geneva !

Cheers to all of you, bye, Hajo.

I booked 10 months ago too and am so disappointed but on the other hand I wouldn't want to be stuck in quarantine out there and so I've accepted it and I'll definitely re book when this has all died down. Hope you got sorted Iain.

We have the most awesome Travel Agent back in the UK who has seen us right.  We are extending our stay in Thailand at current hotel for a couple of days and then heading to Phuket for a week before visiting Singapore as planned.  Not quite the trip we had planned but we do count ourselves lucky that at least we got away

Oh that's good Iain. I was with the Flight Centre too and they've been very helpful. Enjoy your holiday. I'm very envious 😊
