Delhi to Kathmandu - October 4th

Hi everyone,

I have just booked myself onto this trip and am wondering who else has. It sounds such an exciting trip, I can't wait! :)

Hi Katherine, I've also just booked on the 4th Oct trip. Really looking forward to it, it's going to be an amazing trip I think. Definitely looking forward to sights like the Taj, the river cruise and the elephant safari. I'm actually flying out 2 days earlier than the group flight so I can experience a couple of days in Delhi.

Hi Ash,

Thank you for your reply, I will be on the group flight from Heathrow but I'm looking forward to meeting you in Delhi. It seems so long away but will probably fly by! I have bought a couple of guide books which I need to have a look at :)

Anyone else?? Not long left now!

Has anybody else booked on? Not long left to go now!

Has anybody else booked onto this trip? Not long left until we go now!

Hi Katherine
I have booked onto this trip. looking forward to my first trip alone and my first experience of India and Nepal. Hope to meet you on the group flight from Heathrow. Just need to book my connecting flights and like you do some reading before we go. Can you recommend a good guide book on Nepal

Hi Alison,
Thanks for letting me know, I will see you at Heathrow. I will probably be there really early as I am coming down from the midlands. I bought the Lonely Planet guide, which I have found useful so far. Have you arranged your visa yet? I can't believe how quickly it has all come round!

Hi , just wondering if you guys are on the Annapurna circuit leaving on the 4th for Nepal??
We're on the flight out of Heathrow along with 2 or 3 others and also a couple flying in from Canada so far.
Rich n Val

Hi Richard and Val,

We are off on the Delhi to Kathmandu trip, but thanks for asking. I hope you both enjoy Nepal, maybe I'll see you at Heathrow if the flights are roughly at the same time!

Woo I just got my visa for India in the post! I can really get excited now!

I did this trip this time last year and it was simply great. Fast paced and some long drives but a fantastic insight. Have a good time. I enjoyed my first trip to India so much that I am heading back on a different route, for a month, in mid September.

hi im going on this trip but on the 18th - can i ask roughly how long before you guys have got your visas? I read that they're valid from when issued and not your travel date so i dont want to get it too early! also how long did it take to come through?

Thanks for letting us know that you had a great time, Paul. I'm getting very excited now, especially about seeing the mountains in Pokhara! I hope you have a great time on your next trip.
To anybody that's coming on the trip, I can be contacted through Facebook, it might be easier to contact each other in that way rather than through this forum. This is my page

Shall those of us on the group flight arrange to meet somewhere at Heathrow?

Hi Sairy,

I've only just seen your message but I applied for my visa around 6 weeks before we fly out. I sent off all of my documents on the Thursday and received it back with the visa inside the following Wednesday, so it took less than a week!
I told them that I arrive in India on the 5th October and they have made sure that the visa starts on the 1st of October, so no problems with timing. I hope you have no problems getting yours :)
