Everest and Gokyo Lakes Circuit

Hi,
I've just booked to go on this trip 23rd March to 11th April.
Would like to hear from anyone else who may have booked this trip.

Hello, yes all booked and 'ready' to go - well apart from panicking about fitness levels etc! You all set?

Hi, this is my first trek and I am looking forward to visiting Nepal and EBC, it's been a dream since I was young to walk these mountains and my excitement and nerves are building(Fitness plan out the window, the quite time at work has not happened this year! Doh!) the plan now is one foot in front of the other and focus on the momo's.

Hi guys good to hear from fellow trekkers
only a few weekends left for some long walks to get the legs working.
Ive done a few trips mostly with Exodus But this is my first trip to Nepal which has been top of my wish list for ever. How do you change 'anonymous' to my name on these post? My names Simon.
Are you both flying out with exodus from Heathrow

Hello again, I too cannot seem to figure out how to change the name setting! And apologies Simon but looks like we share the same name too!! What are the chances.
Cannot believe how quickly this trip has come around, think I have all the kit I need now, I've read the trip notes but I'm still unsure what to take in the way of currency, don't want to have empty pockets by the time we reach Gokyo but I don't want to be walking round like Floyd Mayweather either! Anyone care to advise??
Cheers Simon(2!)

always difficult to know how much money to take but in my experience its better to take to much than run out, as it can be extremely difficult to get cash from ATM's which are often broken or empty.
By my rough estimate we will need:-Tour in Kathmandu and spending in city £100
Tips at the end of trek £ 60
Food and drink on trek £30 a day x 16 £480
20% contingency £128
Total £768

It may sound a lot but its not something we do every day!
Anyone who has already done this trip got any advise?
