Kili - Lemosho Route - 28 January 2015

Just a quick note to say hi to my fellow Kili trekkers. Looking forward to meeting you all either at Heathrow or the lodge the following day.

Been meaning to do this for some time & decided to finally do it before my knees give up lol.

Booked 2 nights at the Radisson for a good pamper when I get back - think it'll be well deserved.

Good luck all & see you soon.

Wendy :)

I've just been on the phone to Exodus about hiring kit… I'm realising that our departure date is fast approaching. It all seemed such a long way off when I booked!
A little nervous about how I cope with altitude. Are you planning to take Diamox or not?
Anyway, looking forward to meeting you, Karen

Hi Karen

I'm not planning on taking Diamox. I'll be taking Gingko Biloba, which I've used before at altitude & it seems to work for me.
I had a dummy run with my kit bag & realised my sleeping mat wouldn't fit, so I'm hiring one locally. I'm still taking my own sleeping bag though, which is taking up a fair amount of space.
Just checked Ethiopian Airlines & we can check in 2 bags, so I might split things equally, just in case 1 goes astray (fingers crossed it doesn't!!) & then I'll have a bag to leave at the lodge with some clean clothes & toiletries in.

See you soon :)
Even with the basics on the list, I feel

Hurrah, Exodus kit bag arrived today after being advised they were likely to be out of stock till after we return home. So I won't need to use my existing bag now. Bigger than expected too so I've now got plenty room - happy face!
