MEO - Porto to Lisbon Atlantic Ride

We are part of the October 21st departure of Porto to Lisbon Atlantic Ride. My wife and I are arriving from Canada  - getting into Porto on October 19th to enjoy a bit of free time there. We're looking forward to joining the group on the 21st. Are there any instructions on how to do that? The trip notes are not very specific other than they provide the flight number/time that other group members are arriving on.

Hi - Im also arriving into Porto on 19th, I asked Exodus for Joining instructions and this is what they emailed:

The hotel details is as below:

Trindade Porto Hotel

Trindade Porto Hotel

Rua De Camões 129

Phone: +351 22 206 1520

Check in is usually from 14:00, however please ask the reception upon arrival if your room is ready, and they may check you in earlier.

I also asked where the wine tasting and dinners is on Saturday to make sure we didnt end up in the same place twice -  The wine tasting is at Offley cellars and the dinner at Chez Lapin.

Look forward to meeting you both on Saturday 21st

Thanks Jill.

I was able to get a bit of additional advice from Exodus on this. They said that they like to keep the start time in the afternoon a little flexible to ensure everyone arrives and has time to settle in. They said that they will post something at the hotel on the 21st advising what time we should all muster in the lobby to head for the walking tour, wine tasting, dinner, etc. Given that we will be staying at the Trinidade leading up to the tour, I feel like we'll end up knowing what to do.

By the way, I have a friend at work who was in Porto a few months ago. He gave me a couple of recommendations for our free time there:

1. The Majestic Cafre at Rua Santa Catarina 112. This is the cafe where Harry Potter was written. Lines form early in the morning so only go if you are up early (he said).

2. Graham's Port Lodge (a port winery) at Rua do Agro 150 is really special as it has a covered, glassed-in terrace where you can have lunch and a spectacular view of Porto. But it's not cheap.

Looking forward to meeting you on the 21st.

Peter and Karen Mayne
