Nepal,visa and charger

Is there any reason to not buy my visa on arrival at Katmandu? Delays? Convenience?

Do I need an adapter plug for my chargers?

I obtained my visa in advance and will also do so for my next trip to Nepal. So I can't really advise you on how efficient or not a process it is obtain a tourist visa upon arrival.

Nepal uses a three round pinned plug like that used in India and South Africa. It's actually an old British plug design. Some places might already have adapters but for how little they cost taking your own is a good back up plan

I realise this is an old post however just in case people are still viewing it.
I have done both in the past and have had no problem getting my visa when I arrive, just make sure you have the correct money in Dollars and all the paperwork ready. The queue seemed to be about the same for those with or without visa. Smile, namaste and enter Nepali time, your luggage can take a while to come through so no hurry....

As for adapters my experience has been that they can be quite random, but it is getting better and a number of hotels have extension leads with different plug types. So if you have an adapter with some different configurations you'll find a plug somewhere to fit.
