Outbreak of Plague in Madagascar

Hey all who will be heading to Madagascar

There is an outbreak of plague with 119 affected and 40 deaths. My companion and I already consulted our insurance company. They will pay for cancellation but will not cover us if we go ahead. Exodus says WHO deems it as low risk. But things can change and fast. It can be potentially serious and deadly. What do you think guys?

I asked my doctor and he said that plague is treatable. I am also reassured that Exodus will take care to keep us out of affected areas. Frankly I'm more frightened of the flying!

Yes as doctors, we understand it is very treatable. It's just that this year the disease pattern has changed somewhat. And yes Exodus have been great. I raised the concern with them and they allow us to change the trip date. Enjoy your trip Irene.
