What to pack? + inoculations

Hi, all

- looking forward to Delhi to Kathmandu 19th March to 3rd April 2016

Any advice regards;

1) - foot wear, - I assume active / approach walking shoes for the day + boots etc for the evening / dinner etc

2) - luggage, - I was thinking cargo / duffle bag with shoulder straps (60litre) - is a rucksack too much ?

3) - inoculations - any from the really bad list recommended e.g rabies, etc?

4) - laptop - too much - I would like to update my blog ?

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi James,

I did this trip a couple of years ago; it is amazing, I'm sure you will have a great time.

1) I don't think you need to go to crazy with footwear. I only took two pairs of converse and my walking boots and I was ok.

2) 60 little duffle sounds fine :) I took a medium sized hard shell case and a day sack. Whatever you take will get bashed up and dirty from being strapped to the top of the buses.

3) Back in 2012 I had to have all the usuals (tet, hep, etc) plus malaria tablets. I was offered rabies but didn't have it, just use common sense when it comes to the dogs but that is up to you.

4) Most of the hotels do have wifi but it's not BT infinity. Updating your blog might take a long long time and drive you to drink.

I would recommend taking a little bit of cold weather gear (hat, gloves, scarf, warm socks). Some of the early morning departures were freezing.

Have an amazing time :)
