Great Migration Holidays

The fabled migration is the unique movement of 1.2 million wildebeest, over 200,000 zebras and a similar amount of Thomsons Gazelles between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti plains (Kenya and Tanzania respectively). Dark unending lines of these beasts darken the plains during January, February, March and early June in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro conservation areas, and further north in the Mara from July to October. To see them crossing a river full of huge crocodiles under a searing late afternoon East African sky with a backdrop of towering escarpments and anvil nimbus, pursued as ever, relentlessly by the prolific predators is the most enduring sight on the continent.
