Dharamsala

Dharamsala Trips

Dharamsala, as we know it today, was settled in 1959 by Tibetan exiles after the Chinese invasion of their homeland. They fled across the Himalaya, and the Prime Minister of India allowed the Dalai Lama and his followers to set up a government here, a little hill-town in northern India. Dharamsala has since grown into the world centre of Tibetan Buddhism, and is a potent symbol for all Buddhists. Dharamsala trips are a truly spiritual experience, particularly if you get the chance to hear the Dalai Lama speak or attend one of his audiences.
